Amazon-owned Ring is launching a new version of its video doorbell to its Pro line of devices, the Ring Battery Doorbell Pro, which the company calls its most advanced battery doorbell yet.
According to Ring, the Battery Doorbell Pro features radar-powered 3D motion detection, radar-powered features like Bird’s Eye ones and Bird’s Eye View for aerial perspectives and advanced alerts, and 1536p HD+ resolution, Audio+ and Quick Replies.
The company says the camera lens is actively aligned with premium imaging sensors for crisp video definition, and dynamic image processing and high-efficiency compression delivers life-like color and sharpness in both live views and recordings. In addition to enhanced image sensors for clarity and color, the Battery Doorbell Pro features Low-Light Sight that allows the camera to function in low-light settings in clear color.
The Ring Battery Doorbell Pro, available for pre-order for $229.99, is designed to work with other Ring devices, allowing customers to create a whole-home system by pairing it with a Stick Up Cam Pro, or by adding Ring Alarm Pro for 24/7 Backup Internet (with a Ring Protect Pro subscription) so the doorbell will stay online in the event of a power outage, the company says.
In September 2023, Ring announced the new Ring Stick up Cam Pro, an indoor/outdoor camera that offers 3D motion detection and bird’s eye views of the property.
