A pair of new SoundTube Dante-enabled loudspeakers are providing integrators with more installation options, as they can be installed indoors or outdoors to help meet a range of audio applications.
The new STNet IPD-SM52 EZ and IPD-SM82-EZ II loudspeakers, through their digital connectivity, allow integrators to employ the speakers in a range of Dante-enabled audio systems.
“The Dante-enabled SoundTube STNet speakers feature exceptional sound quality with versatile compatibility,” says Laura Waldon, president, MSE Audio.
“Dante functionality allows our speakers to be paired with a vast assortment of products worldwide, creating a solution for nearly any application.”
Dante-Enabled Speakers Loaded With Setup Options
The speakers are surface-mount solutions capable of operating by sending digital signals with power directly to the speakers via category cables.
Options such as digital signal processing (DSP) management with crossover, time management and equalization (EQ) are all addressable in the digital domain, and when the speakers are paired with SoundTube's ST-NET Switch, the speakers can be driven with up to 40 watts of power via Power over Ethernet (PoE).
The speakers are also compatible with standard PoE and PoE+ switches to allow integrators to utilize their standard networking product lines in the field.

The products feature SoundTube's BroadBeam Ring high-frequency dispersion technology that creates, “clear, understandable messaging and music over a wide area.”
The IPD-SM52-EZ loudspeaker employs a 5.25-inch polypropylene woofer, along with a 1-inch soft dome tweeter. The IPD-SM82-EZ II provides many of the same benefits as the 5.25-inch speaker, but it adds a larger 8-inch woofer.
Both speakers can be managed through the use of software, and SoundTube provides a stainless steel bracket and port plug, helping the speakers install in extreme weather environments without sacrificing IP functionality.
