AVIXA, HTSA and ProSource announced plans to launch a new residential integration industry event called RESIDE, which will debut alongside InfoComm 2027 and Lightapalooza in Orlando, Fla., June 16-18, 2027.
According to the organizations, RESIDE is design to serve custom integrators, manufacturers and service providers operating in the residential technology market. The show is being positioned around product demonstrations, training, education and networking, with an emphasis on the increasing overlap between residential and commercial AV technologies and workflows.
This comes shortly after AVIXA announced that it will acquire HTSA’s Lightapalooza, a lighting-focused expo and training and education event.
AVIXA, the main commercial AV-focused trade group, and owners and operators of InfoComm, said the launch reflects what it describes as ongoing convergence between commercial and residential integration disciplines. The organization cited internal InfoComm 2025 attendee data indicating that 16% of integrators attending the event serve the residential market.
The event is being established through a joint venture between AVIXA, along with residential-focused buying groups HTSA and ProSource.
