DOW Technologies, an independently owned technology distributor, has donated a percentage of its sales to the Hurricane Ian relief effort. DOWโs donation, in excess of $25,000, went to the Florida Disaster Fund.
As Hurricane Ianโs destruction had wide ranging impacts on the state of Florida, the company states that it wanted to provide assistance to those in need. DOW put together a plan to donate a percentage of sales which created an opportunity for its customers around the country to be involved. DOW announced that a percentage of sales from September 30ย to October 4 would be donated on the behalf of participating customers.
โWe recognize that our support for local, independent businesses extends to supporting local communities,โ comments DOWโs president & CEO John Yodzis.
โOur customers have great impacts on the communities they live in both professionally and personally, and we wanted a way to bring that support from customers across the country to help those affected. Weโre very happy to have made the donation on behalf of all of our customers that participated.โ
