The popular electronic company LG has introduced its new 2022 line of ultra-short throw (UST) CineBeam Projectors.
LG‘s newly announced HU915QE and HU915QB UST projectors are available at retail prices of $6,000 and $6,500 each respectively, and the global electronics manufacturer states that its latest products are designed to throw a sharp 90-inch image from a distance as small as 2.2 inches (5.6 centimeters).
According to the company, the HU915QE CineBeam Projector produces up to 3,700 lumens of brightness and contrast ratios as high as 2,000,000:1. The HU915QB is rated to produce up to 3,000 lumens of brightness, and both products employ LG’s three-channel laser technologies that incorporate separate light sources for each primary RGB color.

Developed to serve homeowners in a variety of ways, the new UST projectors from LG incorporate HDR Dynamic Tone Mapping, which is said to analyze and adjust image brightness for every frame.
The projectors also include the company’s proprietary Brightness Optimizer II which is said to automatically adjust image brightness levels based on a room’s ambient light conditions.
To further enhance image quality, LG notes the products offer its Adaptive Contrast feature that adjusts the projectors’ light sources to maximize image contrast.

Providing homeowners with a full array of smart home functions, the 2022 HU915QE and HU915QB CineBeam Projectors come with LG’s WebOS platform to allow users to stream their favorite content from services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube, and Apple TV+.
The WebOS platform also offers options that include Apple AirPlay 2 and BlueTooth, and for those that don’t have a companion audio system to integrate the projectors into, the products incorporate a 2.2 speaker system that’s powered by a 40-watt amplifier.
In addition, to help the new UST CineBeam Projectors blend into a range of home environments, LG partnered with the Danish textile company Kvadrat to provide the products with a “re-wool” design that includes material made with 45% recycled wool. The HU915QE’s material is described to have a muted appearance with a natural color, while the HU915QB model combines a black finish with a gray fabric accent.
