Pro-Ject Audio Systems has introduced its Debut Carbon EVO turntable as an addition to its Debut Collection.
The Debut Carbon EVO turntable features Pro-Ject’s one-piece carbon fiber tonearm technology; electronic speed selection; gold-plated, chassis-mount RCA jacks; suspension elements from the EISA-award-winning X1; factory-mounted Sumiko Rainier phono cartridge; height adjustable TPE-damped aluminum leveling feet; and hinged adjustable dust cover.
Pro-Ject’s Debut series has a rich and popular heritage for the Austrian-based audio company. After more than 20 years, Pro-Ject’s Debut boasts close to 1 million units sold to vinyl fans, the company says, despite its release at the height of the CD era.
Debut Carbon EVO turntables are available in nine finish options, including varieties of eight-coat, hand-painted high-gloss, matte pastel colors, and elegant walnut veneer.
The company says the addition of the Debut Carbon EVO enhances its effort to deliver value and performance to analog fans. The new turntables ($499) will be available through authorized Pro-Ject dealers for orders in the U.S. market beginning in September.
