Providing integrators with a new home theater receiver solution, McIntosh has introduced its new MHT300 Home Theater Receiver.
McIntosh‘s latest multichannel AV solution is rated to produce 120 watts to 150 watts of power to all of its channels driven, and it supports 4K/120Hz video content on all four of its HDMI inputs and HDMI output.
“Considering the increase in video streaming services over the last decade, we are excited to share our latest innovation in home theater with our customers for them to better enjoy their entertainment in the comfort of their home,” comments Charlie Randall, president of McIntosh Laboratory, Inc.
“We look forward to seeing the positive impact the MHT300 will have on consumers’ at-home viewing and listening experiences.”
McIntosh MHT300 Home Theater Receiver Supports Immersive Audio Applications
The popular AV equipment manufacturer points out that a big part of the MHT300’s architecture is its ability to expand its feature set to support the playback of immersive audio content. McIntosh explains the AV receiver’s amplifier modules can be configured in a variety of ways by integrators to support a choice of speaker configurations, and when the need arises, the MHT300 can accommodate the connection of external amplifiers for height 1 and height 2 options.

McIntosh says that if integrators employ the height 1 and height 2 connection options, dealers can install 7.2.4 immersive audio systems. Augmenting the performance capabilities of the newly announced receiver, McIntosh also includes Dirac Live room correction technologies to ensure the system performs to its full potential.
Some of the other features the MHT300 Home Theater Receiver offers include:
- The receiver incorporates Power Guard signal overload technology that prevents overdriving and damaging connected speakers
- The receiver’s Sentry Monitor short-circuit protection circuit disengages the output stage should current ever approach unsafe operating levels and then resets automatically when operating conditions return to normal
- The MHT300 provides McIntosh’s Eco-friendly on/off signal sensing that turns the unit off if no input signal has been detected for a set amount of time and it automatically turns the receiver on when it senses a signal from a home theater processor
- Providing some traditional home entertainment, the AVR features an FM Tuner for the playback of free over-the-air radio broadcasts
The new Home Theater Receiver, which will be available in March 2023, utilizes the company’s classic industrial design such as its black-glass front panel, illuminated logo, rotary control knobs and silver chassis trim.
