From the Minds of the $1 Million Theater Comes a More Scalable System to SR10

The member companies that helped put together 2025’s 'Million-Dollar Theater demo' are returning with the intent of educating attendees on scalability in theater systems.

Last year, CEDIA Expo attendees were treated to what might have been one of the most luxurious theater demos hosted at the show in a while. Well, the minds behind that demo are returning to CEDIA Expo 2026, only instead of trying to push the upper limits of cost with their cinema this time around, they’re highlighting scalable system design.

The member companies of last year’s ultra-high-end $1M+ private cinema—ASCENDO, AcustiMOD, Christie, madVR Labs, Moovia, Seymour-Screen Excellence and StormAudio—will be showcasing this new scalable theater build in Sound Room 10 (SR10) during the Expo, with the goal of showing how engineering philosophies that define flagship private cinemas can be applied to projects of varying sizes, room types and investment levels.

SR10 Theater System Highlights

The audio system in SR10 will be a 9.8.4-channel home cinema system from ASCENDO Immersive Audio, AcustiMOD, and StormAudio.

ASCENDO will debut its new DSP4-6602 DSP/Amplifier alongside THE18 SUB PASSIVE VENTED and unveil an exciting new audio innovation on day one of CEDIA Expo.

Powering the immersive audio system is StormAudio’s Fusion 20 receiver, combining reference-level surround processing and amplification into a single platform designed for premium residential theaters.

AcustiMOD will outfit the room with a modular acoustic architecture that it says will offer an engineered, repeatable approach to system design.

On the video side, the theater will feature the latest projection technology from Christie and Seymour-Screen Excellence, the latter of which will provide its reference Enlightor-Neo acoustically transparent, multiformat, screen.

Image processing will be handled by the madVR Envy Core MK2, bringing HDR dynamic tone mapping, full HDMI 2.1 8K input support, AI-powered upscaling, Dynamic Subtitle Overlay and advanced screen masking automation.

Lastly, Moovia will provide its Marbella media sofa. The sofa is controlled by the new Moovia app, streamlining control and automation for integrators and their clients with a tactile new user interface.

Why Integrators Should Take Note

As the average custom integration client has evolved over the years, so too have the offerings an integrator needs to provide to said client. Where once one-size-fits-all solutions sat ready in a business’s portfolio, now, the ability to provide scalable “good, better, best” solutions stands as the de facto rule of engagement with customers.
