PowerShades and Bond Home have announced that PowerShades’ RF remote-controlled automated window shades are now compatible with the Bond Bridge Pro.
The $379 Bond Bridge Pro brings app-based (smart phone, tablet) control and integrates with home automation systems and voice activation platforms. This new compatibility with Bond Bridge Pro will allow PowerShades’ automated shades to integrate with Apple Home Kit, Josh.ai and other home automation systems.
“We are thrilled that PowerShades motorized shades are now compatible with Bond Bridge Pro,” says Ryan Chacon, president, PowerShades.
“This compatibility is a direct result of requests by dealers across North America, and it will certainly please end users of popular systems like Apple Home Kit and voice activation platforms like Josh-ai.”
PowerShades is a provider of manual and automated window shades for residential, commercial and hospitality applications. Powershades offers indoor and outdoor motorized roller shades with a broad range of customization and automation options. Their automation features include setting scenes and schedules, voice control, cloud-based connectivity, mobile app control and more.
A single Bond Bridge Pro can control as many as 50 shades in a 3,500 sq. ft. home. For larger jobs multiple Bond Bridge Pros can be used. Configuring the Bond Home App for control of PowerShades is easy. The installer or end-user simply selects PowerShades during setup in the Bond Home App on their smart phone or tablet.
When integrated with Bond Home’s optional wireless, battery-powered Sidekick for Shades or Sidekick Scene keypads (MSRP $79) and a home automation system, the Bond Home App and automation system allows the user to see the status of the shades operations and set up shade limits.
“Our collaboration with PowerShades is a great confirmation of the value that the Bond Bridge platform brings to motorized shades. As our end-user surveys continue to illustrate, homeowners are hungry for simplified control via one App — that resides locally on their smart devices — with voice control a key driver,” adds Bond Home CEO Zohar Shinar.
