Originally announced at InfoComm 2023, K-array has officially released a new, fully connected software suite for its products across K-array, KGEAR and KSCAPE lines. The new suite brings forward three new offerings to assist integrators in designing and installing systems using K-array: K-MONITOR, K-CONNECT, and K-FRAMEWORK.
According to Alessandro Tatini, CEO & President, at K-array, the goal of the new software suite is provide a “360-degree solution” for the control and design of systems across K-array, KGEAR and KSCAPE, providing a “complete ecosystem” that can be used by professionals and end users intuitively.
While this is the first time a front-facing solution has been made to help connect the varied products, the goal of a “connected ecosystem” is something that K-array has been working on for some time. K-array amplifiers already benefit from a dedicated operating system (OsKar), and a third-party control API with plug-ins available for major control platforms including Q-SYS and Crestron.
The company has also launched a dedicated developer platform, enabling developers to create apps to further extend the functionality of K-array amplifiers, with the first service built on this platform being Dante Ready, allowing users to add Dante audio networking channels on demand.
Looking into the first piece of software K-array mentions as part of its new software suite, K-FRAMEWORK is an offline software designed for 3D simulation and amplifier configuration. This application enables advanced users to simulate room coverage and then configure the amplifiers associated with the desired loudspeakers.

K-CONNECT, meanwhile, is a mobile app available for iOS and Android devices. The app, according to K-array is meant to help streamline network management and installation by allowing users to connect to any K-array amplifier hotspot with a simple scan of the QR code.
Once connected, users can then modify settings through the user interface. On-site, more experienced practitioners can also use the new K-array web app, offering a comprehensive general configuration of systems.
Finally, as the name might imply, K-MONITOR serves as an ongoing monitoring software for K-array products, offering more efficient discovery tools for integrators during commissioning as well.

Earlier this year at CEDIA Expo 2023, K-array also showcased its refined Lyzard Mark II and Vyper Mark II speakers at its tradeshow booth in Denver. More recently, the company announced the addition of Michael Green as a new Technician Support Team Member in addition to partnering with manufacturer representatives Bell & McCoy, C&E Marketing and The New York Marketing Team.
