Origin Acoustics is preparing a different kind of booth experience for CEDIA Expo 2026, with the audio manufacturer planning to demonstrate its products in environments that more closely resemble the spaces where integrators actually install them.
In a conversation with CE Pro Executive Editor Zachary Comeau, Origin Acoustics CEO Nick Berry said the company has redesigned its booth from scratch around the theme “Sound Lives Here.”
Rather than displaying products primarily on walls, Origin plans to create several residential environments, including spaces resembling a kitchen, living room, bedroom, dining room and outdoor area. The goal is to demonstrate how audio can fit into a home while complementing its architecture and design.
Berry said the approach is also intended to make the technology more approachable for architects and designers attending the show. He argued that showing technology within familiar, thoughtfully designed spaces can help the custom integration industry better communicate its value to the design community.
Origin Acoustics Previews New Audio Products
Origin will also use CEDIA Expo to introduce several new products. Among them are new eight- and 16-channel amplifiers designed as straightforward, scalable solutions for everyday installations. The company is also developing new wedge-style surface-mount speakers and expanding its subwoofer offerings for multipurpose entertainment spaces.
Another major introduction will be Origin’s first entertainment tower speaker. Berry said the customizable tower is designed to deliver high-output performance while still fitting into the design of a home. A pair will incorporate four 10-inch subwoofers.
Origin is also keeping one announcement under wraps. Berry teased what the company believes is an entirely new product category, which will be demonstrated inside the booth’s largest experiential room at CEDIA Expo.
