The high-performance projection screen company Stewart Filmscreen has introduced a new version of its ambient-light rejecting screen (ALR) technology screen product: the Phantom HALR Plus.
Stewart Filmscreen says that its new ALR screen product is a 1.3-gain material that is said to provide a bright image with high levels of fidelity and excellent black levels with no color shift. Stewart points out that integrators can use the Phantom HALR Plus screen material to install projection systems into multipurpose AV environments or any room where ambient light is present.
According to the company, integrators can custom configure the Phantom HALR Plus in electric and fixed frame versions, and the screen can be specified with Stewart’s Micro Perf X2 THX Ultra technologies for acoustically transparent versions. Stewart says the screen material is available in sizes up to 40-feet in height and 90 feet in width for use in commercial applications.
Stewart Filmscreen also points out the screen material’s half-gain rating is 27 degrees, and its ambient light rejection value is 80%.
Additionally, other installation notes include the fact that the flame-resistant material is not rated for passive 3D image use, and its minimum throw distance recommendation is 1.6x image width.
