Back in 2018 Samsung introduced its “The Wall” MicroLED product to the consumer market. Two years later the company is launching a 110-inch MicroLED product in a “traditional television” format.
Samsung explains that unlike its modular counterparts, its new “traditional form” MicroLED television is designed for a more turn key setup experience.
Explaining further, Samsung points out its new MicroLED product employs micrometer-size LED lights to eliminate the backlight and color filters that common displays use. The self-illuminating product produces light from its own pixels and it provides 100% of the DCI and Adobe RGB color gamuts.
The global electronics company also points out that its new display also delivers a 4K resolution and a total 8 million pixels. Samsung notes that through the use of its Micro AI Processor, its new display is capable of reproducing HDR content.
Externally, the new 110-inch MicroLED display features a minimalist design that omits the need for a bezel.
Other features built into the television include a Multi-View option that permits users to watch four sources simultaneously on up to 55-inch sized split screens.
In addition, the product incorporates Samsung’s Majestic Sound system to deliver 5.1 channels of audio.
