BEAK serves the purpose of the major consumer base to have an IoT solution to make their life easier. BEAK is designed to deliver the ultimate smart home experience with the ability to control hundreds of appliances and other smart devices by working on wireless portocols ie BLE, Zigbee and Z-wave.

My Words

In addition to the protocols noted above, the BEAK has an IR transceiver to control IR devices, as well as temperature, humidity, ambient light and proximity sensors.

Do I want it?

No.

Will it make it?

I don't think so. The world has enough home-automation hubs.
