When it comes to big-screen entertainment for the outdoors, custom integrators can supersize their clients’ backyard fun with a solution like Stealth Acoustics’ Stealth Patio Theater.
Stealth Patio Theater (SPT) launched in 2015 from Washington state-based Stealth Acoustics with the core concept of creating a self-contained, daylight-viewable TV system that leverages the latest in LED technology to overcome many of the problems homeowners and integrators face when replicating a theater-like experience outdoors, explains Brian Azzano, vice president, Stealth Acoustics.
“Today, three models of Patio Theater TVs offer stunning performance, even in direct sunlight — where traditional weatherized TVs and delicate projectors and screens fall short,” Azzano states.
The original SPT Extreme comes in four sizes from 105 to 190 inches in P3 LED resolution. These theater-size displays feature a vertical lift system ideal for recessing the all-metal cabinet below grade for a pop-up experience, Azzano explains.

The SPT Extreme is available with 3.1-channel audio built directly into the cabinet (that can be used even when the display is retracted), or a soundbar that travels up with the display.

Designed for luxury marine applications, the 120-inch, P3 resolution, fold-out SPT Transformer is a compact solution for any location. The fiberglass cabinet is available in eight colors and features built in, weatherproof 3.1-channel audio.
Meanwhile, the modular SPT Megalith lives up to its name and is available in seven sizes from 105 to 338 inches. The SPT Megalith TV can be wall mounted or installed as a freestanding display when used with the optional support structure package.
The SPT Megalith solution features an optional 3.1 soundbar. New in 2022, the Megalith can be specified in the original P4 resolution or as a high-res P3 display.
“With the Patio Theater family of complete outdoor TV systems, Stealth Acoustics has taken the guesswork out of LED screen and lift system design for our integrators,” notes Azzano.
Plus, other audio for the outdoors can be addressed from Stealth Acoustics integrators by utilizing the company’s versatile StingRay speakers. For more details from Azzano about the SPT options, check out the video above or visit Stealth Acoustics’ website.
