Shelly and Samsung continue to expand their respective smart home ecosystems by announcing the certification of nine additional Shelly Wave devices on the Samsung SmartThings ecosystem. These products include the Wave 2PM, Wave Pro 2, Wave 1PM Mini, Wave Pro 1PM, Wave Pro 2PM, Wave 1PM, Wave 1, Wave 1 Mini and Wave Pro 1.
The announcement is a broader expansion of the Shelly Qubino Wave Plug’s integration into the SmartThings ecosystem from earlier this year, and follows several other announcements by Shelly of its products being paired within other device and smart home systems, such as Josh.ai and even auto manufacturer Audi.
Svetlin Todorov, CEO of Shelly USA, commented on the announcement, saying, “Obtaining SmartThings certifications for our growing Wave lineup reinforces our position as an innovator in the IoT market. By focusing on compatibility and user-centric design, Shelly Group ensures that users can easily manage and expand their home automation systems without being restricted by brand or platform limitations.”
Shelly Group, Samsung Continue to Expand Respective Smart Home Ecosystems
The new set of Shelly Wave devices being added to the SmartThings ecosystem span a variety of use cases, like the Shelly Wave Pro 2PM, which serves as a professional 2-channel DIN rail smart switch that supports up to 25 and comes equipped with an integrated power meter.
The Shelly Wave Pro 1 meanwhile, acts as a one phase, 1 channel relay that can support up to 16 amps for lighting and appliance automation in residential and commercial settings.

“We’re excited with the expansion of Shelly Group’s Wave product line within the SmartThings ecosystem,” said Mark Benson, Head of SmartThings US. “These new certifications provide our users with even more options for creating a seamless, energy-efficient, and fully connected smart home experience.”
Samsung itself has been exceptionally busy expanding both the scope and functionality of its SmartThings ecosystem. Since the start of this year, Samsung has partnered with Hyundai, Tesla, Signify, Airzone, Ikea and even Ashley Furniture stores, the latter of which has seen mini, pop-up show rooms of Samsung and other smart tech appearing at Ashley’s flagship store in Brentwood, Tenn.
Though traditionally viewed as being a DIY or middle-market solution, partnerships with Shelly, who already has a footprint in Pro spaces, as well as Cync, whose parent company Savant just recently expanded the scope of that specific product line with Proseo shading, have seen Samsung moving closer to these professional inlets with its smart home ecosystem.
With these latest certifications, Shelly now offers a total of ten Wave products that integrate with SmartThings, all of which leverage the Z-Wave protocol for wireless communication.
