The global audio company Bowers & Wilkins has announced its new Px7 S2e headphones, which replace the company’s older generation Px7 S2 headphones.
According to the company, its latest headphones feature newly upgraded digital signal processing (DSP) technologies, and the company emphasizes that its engineering team has retuned the sound of the headphones. Bowers & Wilkins boasts the Px7 S2e headphones’ new DSPs are designed to complement streaming media content, including high-resolution, 24-bit music. As a result of the new processing technologies, the company continues, the headphones’ sound has been retuned to deliver users with increased levels of detail, dynamics and spaciousness.

Bowers & Wilkins continues its technical explanation of the Px7 S2e headphones by stating the headphones also incorporate custom-designed 40mm drivers that are designed to deliver fast response capabilities to produce detailed sound with no distortion. The company also points out those 40mm drivers are specifically angled inside each ear cup to help ensure the drivers rest at a consistent distance relative to users’ ears from every point across the surface of the drivers.

Some of the other features the new Bowers & Wilkins headphones offer users include Qualcomm’s aptX adaptive wireless Bluetooth technologies, as well as other connectivity options such as USB-C and 3.5mm. The company notes it includes USB-C and 3.5mm cables in the headphones’ carrying case.

Using the app listeners can fine tune the Px7 S2e headphones’ equalization (EQ), and employ other options such as the headphones’ active noise cancelling modes.
The Music App also provides access to music streaming services such as Deezer, last.fm, NTS Radio, Qobuz, TIDAL and TuneIn.
Moreover, the Px7 S2e headphones provide users with physical controls built into the ear cups, and the headphones are able to deliver as much as 30 hours of battery life. The headphones’ battery also provides a 15-minute quick recharge feature that is capable of delivering as much as seven hours of play time.
The Px7 S2e headphones are available in a choice of anthracite black, ocean blue, cloud gray and forest green finishes.
