Typically when the word retrofit is used to describe an electronics installation property owners cringe. The word suggests a lot of hidden installation costs that sometimes can make an upgrade in technology cost prohibitive. Channel Vision's new B-204 IP Camera Balun Over Coax Cable Converter Kit however helps to redefine this stereotypical sales presentation scenario. According to the Costa Mesa, Calif.-based company, the converter kit can actually save up to 40 percent of the costs of a typical retrofit surveillance system upgrade. Remote control capabilities are the custom electronics industry's version of National Football League (NFL) offensive linemen: You never notice them unless they fail.
