Philips, through a brand license agreement with distributor Idlespace Technology, is launching a new palm recognition smart lock, a Wi-Fi retrofit lock with wireless keypad, and a new video doorbell.
The new Philips Home devices are the 5000 Series Palm Recognition Smart Lock, the 3000 Series Wi-Fi Retrofit Lock with Wireless Keypad, and the 7000 Series Video Doorbell.
According to Idlespace, the 5000 Series Palm Vein Recognition Smart Lock recognizes users based on unique palm vein patterns, allowing family members access while restricting access for others not recognized.
The Wi-Fi deadbolt lock automatically unlocks when individuals approach the indoor knob or level to streamline exit from the home.
The Philips smart deadbolt lock integrates with key smart home systems such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing homeowners to use their voice to control the lock. Users can also use the Philips Home Access app.
Meanwhile, the 3000 Series Refrofit Lock with Wireless Keypad also eliminates the need for keys or smartphones. It features built-in Wi-Fi and voice command integration with Alexa and Google Assistant.
The lock also features an auto-unlock function when users arrive home with their smartphone. The lock can also detect door position and tampering, and send alerts to the Philips Home Access App.
A wireless keypad is designed to enhance the retrofit lock by allowing homeowners to user fingerprints, PIN codes and one-touch locking to control the lock. The device can store up to 50 fingerprints and 100 PIN codes.
The new 7000 Series Video Doorbell features 2K HD clarity with HDR, dual camera technology and motion detection with zone control. An ultra-wide viewing angle helps capture details, and high-precision sensors and human detection technology helps track individuals near the doorway.
Users can set customizable motion alerts to reduce or increase notifications, such as package arrival alerts. Users can also communicate through the device through the Philips Home Access app.
Customers can purchase the 5000 series for $359.99 and the 3000 series as a bundle for $259.99 or individually (3000 Series Retrofit Lock for $219.99, Wireless Keypad for $69.99). The 7000 Series will retail at $229.99.
