Having long provided HVAC solutions for zoning and automation across multiple smart control platforms, Airzone Control has officially launched a version of its Aidoo controller designed for the Z-Wave ecosystem.
Antonio Mediato, founder, and CEO of Airzone states that the Aidoo Z-Wave addresses a critical gap in the smart home technology market by further opening up the interoperability of systems to create more energy-efficient home environments.
“Aidoo Z-Wave sets a new standard in the industry,” notes Mediato, “demonstrating what is possible when technology harmonizes with manufacturer expertise to deliver superior climate control solutions.”
Like Airzone’s other Aidoo controllers, the Aidoo Z-Wave is set up to function as an integrator-friendly system add-on, bridging the gap between the Inverter/VRF or mini-split HVAC system and whatever smart home control platform is in place . In doing so, the controller allows for smart home level control and automation without sacrificing efficiency.
This is made possible through Airzone’s proprietary collection of manufacturer-certified HVAC protocols that help to facilitate complete bi-directional communication between the HVAC and Z-Wave systems. This ensures that the HVAC system operates in perfect harmony with the smart home ecosystem.

According to Airzone, the Aidoo Z-Wave provides direct control over temperature and monitors humidity levels, while giving users the ability to adjust settings via smartphone, tablet, or voice commands through their Z-Wave-enabled smart home platform.
Leveraging Z-Wave’s mesh network topology, the Aidoo Z-Wave ensures robust and reliable communication between devices, eliminating dead spots and ensuring consistent performance across all corners of the home.
The Aidoo Z-Wave is also designed to have a straightforward installation process that allows for integrators to quickly spin up comprehensive climate control solutions without the need for extensive system overhauls.
Currently, the Z-Wave ecosystem features over 4,400 certified devices and serves as the basis for many smart home systems created by enterprising integrators and DIY enthusiasts alike.
The Airzone Aidoo Z-Wave is now available for purchase in North America through authorized Airzone dealers and can also be ordered directly from Airzone’s website.
