Seymour AV, Screen Excellence Create Brand
The newly launched SSE brand of projection screen is the result of a partnership between Seymour AV and Screen Excellence.
In a move that will see the two companies join forces, the two manufacturers have entered into a joint venture that combines the best of each company’s technology platforms. The newly formed venture will combine Seymour AV’s electric retractable screens and Screen Excellence’s fixed-frame, in-ceiling and masking screens, and the companies will call their combined products Seymour-Screen Excellence (SSE).
SSE says the newly created brand will serve high-end custom installers and specialty AV retailers in the U.S. and Canada, and it will make its market debut at the 2010 CEDIA Expo (booth #711).
“SSE will benefit dealers by offering the most comprehensive range of woven acoustically transparent projection fabrics,” says Chris Seymour, managing director, Seymour AV.
“Pioneering surfaces like our Enlightor 4K [resolution beyond 4K and ISF certified], Center Stage XD [1.2 gain], and other more specialized fabrics for commercial-size screen applications [Enlightor Pro, Enlightor SB], enable SSE dealers to fulfill the requirements of the most demanding videophile applications whilst keeping the very best acoustic transparency at any price level. Additionally, Infinite Black true velvet borders, superior black backing and masking materials and elegant design support the unique performance of our exclusive fabrics.”
SSE is currently offering installers its full line of electric retractable, traditional and curved fixed-frame, motorized in-ceiling and masking screens, and control accessories. It says that later this fall installers can expect additional masking options to further enhance their installation choices.
