Vinyl vs. Digital Demo Session to Highlight CE Exchange
CE Pro editorial team will review various technologies from the standpoint of market opportunity and profit potential, along with specific success story examples.
For 2013, CE Pro has identified a handful of technologies that provide potential opportunity for integrators.
In an upcoming session at the new CE Exchange event at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut from May 6-8, the CE Pro editorial team will review the various technologies from the standpoint of market opportunity and profit potential, along with specific success story examples.
Senior editor Bob Archer will conduct an actual demonstration on the differences in sound quality of downloaded music in lossy AAC and lossless AIFF (Apple Interchange File Format) from a computer running Apple’s free iTunes software, as well as 24/96 high resolution digital audio, and we will compare these formats to CD and vinyl. Following the audio comparisons we will develop talking points that include the positive and negatives of each format.
Managing editor Arlen Schweiger will examine OLED and 4K—or Ultra High-Definition—displays, which provide four times the resolution of 1080p HD and discuss what this burgeoning market means to your clients, who will be asking you why they should invest in yet another TV, and why you should be excited about the prospects of premium displays again.
Other topics covered by editor Jason Knott will include:
- Energy management
- Wireless audio
- Near field communication
- High-end headphones
- Cord-cutting solutions
- Motorized shades
- Remote power management
