CES 2010 is welcoming its share of 3D-capable Blu-ray players, as Sony’s new line Blu-ray line features a Blu-ray 3D playback model.
It joins Toshiba, which introduced its
3D-ready BDX3000.
The new product announcements come on the heels of the
Blu-ray 3D spec being finalized in December 2009.
Sony’s 3D capable BDP-S770 Blu-ray player also features Wi-Fi connectivity and allows for instant streaming of online content.
iPhone or iPod touch users can control the BDP-S770 using a free application downloaded from the
Apple App store.

The Sony BRAVIA Internet Video Platform allows streaming from 25-plus providers, including Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, Pandora, NPR and, of course, Sony Pictures and Sony Music.
Entertainment Database Browser, using Gracenote technologies, lets Blu-ray player users search for content using production information, like choosing an actor.
