Sonos has introduced a new state-of-the-art wireless multiroom music system.
With two Sonos ZonePlayers (amplified and non-amplified) spread throughout the house, homeowners can play the same song in different rooms, or different songs in different rooms.
The system is controllable with the wireless Sonos Controller for instant access of music files, Internet radio stations and online music services.
The new Sonos Bundle 150 (BU150) includes:
- The non-amplified Sonos ZonePlayer 90 (ZP90) that can be connected to an existing stereo or home theater receiver.
- The amplified Sonos ZonePlayer 120 (ZP120) that has a Class D amplifier and can be connected to speakers in any room. It offers 2x55 watts per channel at 8 ohms.
- A Sonos Controller 100 (CR100)
Sonos is offering the BU150 for $999 and will showcase the system at its booth (513) at
CEDIA Expo 2008.
The Sonos Bundle 150 can come with loudspeakers for customers who want a pair of speakers to attach to their ZP120. The BU150 with loudspeakers will retail for $1,149.
The company is also introducing Sonos Software 2.6. The new software includes more than $200 in DRM-free music offers, support for music collections with up to 65,000 tracks and more.
