HAI plans to expand its Home Entertainment and Convenient Interface product lines to include HAI Automation Studio, a
software tool primarily used to design custom OmniTouch Portable and OmniTouch 5.7e Touchscreen interfaces.
HAI calls it a drag and drop program and says the OmniTouch Portable and OmniTouch 5.7e ship fully functional out of the box.
The HAI Automation Studio is intended to make it easier for installers to customize interfaces. The company says removing buttons and modifying fonts and colors is simple. It includes an image gallery of buttons with various colors and sizes.
If installers choose to, they can add floor plans, create specific room pages, use personal images for backgrounds and incorporate their company logos using HAI Automation Studio.
It also lets installers configure buttons that coordinate both HAI automation functions and IR controls. The HAI IR database includes over 300,000 IR codes with the ability to “learn-in” any additional codes, according to the company.
HAI’s Automation Studio is expected to ship April 1.
