The Drywall Protector Plate from DrywallProtectorPlate.com temporarily locks on and protects the work hole and surrounding areas from costly paint and drywall damage when pulling wire, flex conduit, fiberglass rods and flexible drill shafts.

The unit gets placed on a 2 1/2-inch by 3 1/2-inch single-gang opening in the 1/2-inch or 5/8-inch drywall by sliding the locking tabs on the plate and drywall (spacers are required for 3/8-inch drywall).

The tabs have a reversed spring area to eliminate any restriction of the work hole. "Tab A" on the top is used when material or tools are going up, while "Tab B" is used when material or tools are going down.

After you have finished working through the opening, the unit simply unlatches and the locking tabs and plate are removed. You are left with a crisp clean hole and surrounding area.

This product completely protects the bottom, top and sides of the work hole.

As more integrators turn to the existing home market as a haven during the economic slowdown, the importance of performing neat and clean installations becomes imperative.

Dropcloths and booties become key job sites "tools" to keep clients happy. The Drywall Protector Plate might be another good item for your toolbox.

MSRP for the Drywall Protector Plate is $12.95.
