Niles IntelliControl ICS Gets iPad/iPhone Control
Using the Elan g! home controller, dealers can now integrate iPad, iPhone and iPod touch control with Niles IntelliControl ICS.
Niles announced that it is now possible to provide its Niles IntelliControl ICS System customers with iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch control capability with the introduction of the new Elan g! 5.3 software upgrade for the Elan g! Entertainment and Control System.
The free software upgrade that was released by Elan Home Systems is available to all qualified dealers, according to Niles president Mike “Sparky” Detmer.
Moreover, the Elan g!Mobile 5.3 app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch offers control of both the ELAN g! system and the Niles ICS System, and is available from the iTunes store.
According to Detmer, the upgrade adds "immeasurable value" to ICS multiroom audio system so it can access Tunes, Pandora, Rhapsody and Sirius|XM. He adds that there are more than 15,000 ICS installations in the field.
