Features 120dB adjustment range and allows users to program dedicated activities.
07.08.2008 — Mark Levinson is introducing the No502 Media Console, an A/V processor that is the first product in a new series the company says it's rolling out.
The No502, an update from the No40 Media Console, includes an aluminum chassis that doubles as an RF shield, providing immunity from sound degradation.
Its input and output connectors are electrically isolated from the chassis, preventing noise from entering the chassis.
The No502 uses two separate power supplies: an 18-layer video circuit board with minimal surface etches to lower radiated emissions and a low-voltage differential signaling circuit to reduce digital noise.
The No502's level controls offer an adjustment range of 120dB. It features Harman International's Logic 7 technology and Dolby and DTS listening modes.
It has six HDMI inputs and two outputs. The GUI is the same on both the screen your watching and the screen on the front panel of the console.
The No502 auto-calibration system calculates speaker distances and output levels to provide room correction.
Users can program various dedicated activities, such as "Watch a film," "Watch TV" or "Listen to music" with custom settings for each activity.
The No502 includes a backlit metal remote control. The console is now shipping from authorized Mark Levinson dealers.
