LightSpeaker Saves Energy & Sounds Good
With the announcement of the LS5 LightSpeaker, IAV has increased its selection of wireless audio products to provide dealers with more ways to integrate sound into a variety of home environments.
There are some combinations that are hard to beat including peanut butter and chocolate (see Reese’s), and the touchdown producing connection of Brady to Gronkowski. The next great combination to come from the electronics industry targets homeowners: the IAV LightSpeakerLS5. This new product is designed to provide consumers with a solution that efficiently illuminates their homes while providing a source of audio entertainment all at the same time.
IAV says the LightSpeaker LS5 combines a LED light and an amplifier, and the product installs just like a standard light bulb. “The LightSpeaker is the ultimate combination of wireless audio, lighting and ease of installation,” says Krista Bergman, director of sales, IAV. “For any integrator the LightSpeaker can combine with the source components in any system to ease system installations, eliminating wiring issues. The system is incredibly easy to install and provides unique solutions for indoor and outdoor audio for both IAV dealers and their customers.”
According to the company, the LightSpeaker can be used with 5-inch and 6-inch ceiling cans, and it can be used in other applications that include table lamps. IAV states the product installs in less than a half hour and it allows for two source/two zone configurations. In addition to its audio distribution capabilities, the LightSpeaker can also be used in a home theater system as an alternative to traditional rear surrounds.
The LightSpeaker LS5 adds to IAV’s line of wireless audio products that includes the RS.2.0 AudioRock and the W6.2.0 wireless subwoofer. IAV points out the W6.0. subwoofer can be used to augment the low frequency reproduction of any of its wireless speakers and the RS.2.0 AudioRock can be placed outside to provide homeowners a turnkey outdoor audio solution that’s powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery.
