GoldenEar to Intro Triton Tower Three Speaker at CES
GoldenEar Technology will unveil the Triton Tower Three, SuperCinema 3D Array and Invisa HTR 7000 at CES 2012.
GoldenEar Technology is celebrating its first full year of product shipments with three product introductions during CES 2012.
Here is a look at the new products debuting inside the Venetian Hotel at Suites 30-332 and 30-334:
GoldenEar Triton Three Tower
GoldenEar’s Triton Three is a smaller version of the Triton Two, incorporating the built-in powered subwoofer technology first pioneered by GoldenEar principals Sandy Gross and Don Givogue.
The Triton Three features a 800-watt digital/DSP-controlled power amp driving an active front-mounted long-throw 5-inch x 9-inch quadratic subwoofer driver. This is coupled to two opposing, dynamically-balanced 6.75-inch x 8-inch quadratic planar infrasonic passive radiators that are located on the sides, near the floor, in order to take full advantage of boundary coupling. There is one of the same 4.5-inch high-definition cast basket MVPP drivers as used in the Triton Two, along with the same GoldenEar signature High Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR) tweeter.
MSRP: $999 each | Availability: Winter 2012 |
SuperCinema 3D Array
The SuperCinema 3D Array is a new loudspeaker system that combines the form factor of a soundbar with the performance of a surround system.
The SuperCinema 3D Array (SC3DA) incorporates left-, center- and right-channel speakers within a aerospace-grade extruded aluminum enclosure. At just 2.7-inches thin, it complements the latest flat-panel TVs.
There is a second set of drivers that effectively cancels out crosstalk distortion between the left and right channels. It also includes six of GoldenEar Technology’s cast spiderleg-basket 4.5-inch bass-midrange drivers with MVPP and three HVFR tweeters.
Frequency Response: 80 Hz- 35kHz | Efficiency: 91 dB | MSRP: $999 | Availability: Spring 2012
Invisa HTR 7000 In-Ceiling Home Theater Reference Loudspeaker
The Invisa HTR 7000 is designed for use as a ceiling-mounted main front stage left-, right- or center-channel speaker in home theater systems, as well as for use as a side or rear surround speaker. It has a flat, round, magnetically attached micro-perf grille that covers the mounting flange for a nearly “invisible” look.
The drivers are mounted at a 28-degree angle and the tweeter pivots to allow further fine-tuning. The driver complement combines the same basic 7-inch high-definition cast-basket driver used in the Aon 3, with one of GoldenEar's HVFR tweeters.
Frequency Response: 25Hz-35 kHz | Sensitivity: 90 dB, compatible with 8 ohms | MSRP: $499 each | Availability: Spring 2012
