For nearly 20 years sales of records or vinyl has grown steadily in the home audio market. Providing homeowners with a space-friendly, cost-effective means to utilize their turntables, Andover Audio has announced its SpinBase 2 speaker system.
Andover Audio states that its newest speaker solution features a revised industrial design that includes a heathered fabric wrap, along with the company’s main control knob. The Boston-based company explains the SpinBase 2 incorporates its IsoGroove technology that is said to eliminate vibration feedback to enable the speaker to reside underneath a turntable without impacting the turntable‘s performance.
The smart-home friendly audio component also provides homeowners options such as the ability to send and receive Bluetooth signals to allow music fans to listen to their favorite records wirelessly. Some of the other options the SpinBase 2 speaker system provides users include a choice of inputs such as phono, line level, optical digital, and USB for digital content.
Andover Audio points out the speaker system utilizes a full-function IR remote control that allows users to select controls such as bass and treble, and the SpinBase 2 speaker system’s four-character LED display, which is located behind the grille communicates system information.
Internally, the new speaker system employs the company’s Dual Direct Drive amplification design that deploys an amplifier for each driver.
Andover Audio adds the SpinBase 2 through a pair of 1 3/4-inch x 4-inch oval woofers, along with 3/4-inch tweeters produces a 270-degree soundstage and a frequency response of 65Hz to 20kHz.
