The Lutron Excellence Awards are back for 2026, with Lutron announcing it is now accepting entries for its North American segment through 11:59 PM EST, Friday, July 17th.
Winners of the North American competition will be announced at the 2026 CEDIA Expo in Denver, Colorado. International winners will be recognized at the 2027 Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) tradeshow in Barcelona, Spain.
The 2026 Lutron North American Excellence Awards
Established in 2003, the Lutron Excellence Awards aim to celebrate the industry’s top integration firms for their technical mastery, design innovation, and outstanding execution of Lutron projects.
In 2025, Lutron expanded the program by creating two distinct competitions—one dedicated to companies based in North America and another for integration firms operating internationally.
The categories for this year’s awards are as follows:
- Best Use of Motorized Window Treatments
- Best Integrated Project using Lutron Intelligent Lighting, Controls, and Window Treatments
- Best Use of Intelligent Lighting Systems
- Best Renovation/Retrofit Project
- Best Collaboration with an Architect, Interior Designer, or Lighting Designer
- Best Overall Project from a New Lutron Dealer
- Best Collaboration with a Builder or Developer
Why integrators should take note
Within the realm of lighting control, Lutron remains the gold standard among the top integration firms, having appeared in 85% of CE Pro 100 integrator projects in 2025, nearly doubling the representation of the second closest competitor.
As a result, Lutron itself has become synonymous with the category, and for that reason, despite the awards recognizing only Lutron projects, they still stand strong in representing best-in-class lighting design across the industry. A look at last year’s award winners can be found here.
