Driven by technologies such as 4K with HDR and object-based surround sound, home theater is once again a popular home system choice for homeowners. Combining these formats and technologies with another highly desirable home technology choice—wireless whole-house audio—Yamaha is providing dealers with the ability to meet consumer trends through the installation of a single product: its new RX-A60 Series Aventage A/V Receivers

Yamaha says the latest Aventage series of A/V receivers feature short signal-path runs, grounded circuit boards and a sturdy frame-and-beam chassis that helps the products deliver a robust build quality and fun A/V experience.

"The Aventage RX-A60 series A/V receivers put the home theater enthusiast in the center of the action as never before. It provides the absolute cutting-edge in advanced audio technologies, truly lifelike musicality and the best wireless multiroom audio solution in the industry," says Bob Goedken, general manager, AV divsion, Yamaha Corporation of America."This new line of premium A/V receivers provides the ease and accessibility for control of multizone audio installations that custom integrators will applaud."

All six of the new RX-A60 series A/V receivers incorporate HDMI connections that are compatible with 4K Ultra HD with high dynamic range (HDR) to enable the receivers to reproduce dynamic range levels from near total black to just over 1,000 nits of peak brightness. The receivers also support the BT.2020 wide color gamut, 10/12-bit color, 4:4:4 chroma subsampling and HDCP 2.2 copyright protection.

Utilizing the power of its DSP technologies the line of receivers also incorporate support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X object-based surround sound, and support for ALAC 24-bit/96kHz, 24-bit/192kHz WAV, AIFF, FLAC, and DSD high-resolution audio files. Other audio formats the RX-A line of A/V receivers support include wireless Bluetooth, and Yamaha points out the receivers also employ Wi-Fi to enable its inclusion of Yamaha's MusicCast wireless whole-house audio technologies to facilitate whole-house audio installations.

Another key option built into all six receivers is Yamaha's proprietary YPAO automated equalization system. Yamaha states the YPAO system allows installers to tailor the performance of the home theater systems they install to each individual client's environment, and Yamaha says that from the RX-A760 on up, all receivers feature subwoofer parametric EQ down to 15.6Hz.

The Aventage RX-A series of A/V receivers feature:
