Someone at Netflix appears to be having a nervous breakdown. Can you blame them? Back in July, Netflix announced plans to separate its streaming and DVD plans. Everyone probably remembers how that panned out. Despite the outcry, Netflix went through with its new pricing plan. CEO Reed Hastings eventually sent out an apology, only to drop another bomb, saying that the company would separate the two business units even further. The DVD side would soon become Qwikster. The Italian-based company Fine Sounds SpA has acquired SUMIKO, the Berkeley, Calif.- based distribution company that serves the high-performance, luxury A/V market. Fine Sounds is fully owned by the Milan, Italy-based private equity fund Quadrivio and it is the holding company of Sonus faber, Audio Research Corporation and Wadia Digital audio. Dealers at the CE Pro 100 Summit last month were worn out by the time the final session was held at 3:00 p.m. on the last day. Did anyone really want to be there?
