Pioneer will offer 32- and 37-inch LCDs in North America and Asia in 2009.
Pioneer says it plans on launching 32- and 37-inch LCDs in North America and Asia in the first half of 2009.
Pioneer started selling the same 32- and 37-inch LCDs in Europe in August.
The company also says it plans on launching LCDs in Japan in as early as 2010, selling mostly small and mid-sized LCDs in Japan to meet the growing demand.
Pioneer says it will also offer high-grade models in Japan featuring its own video and audio technologies and LCD panels supplied by Sharp.
Sharp has been supplying Pioneer with the LCDs after reaching an agreement in March. Pioneer has also ceased in-house manufacturing of plasmas to cut costs.
