PanTech’s Envisage Software Simplifies Crestron Prodigy Programming
New customized software application enables integrators to easily modify Crestron Prodigy systems.
PanTech Design, a leading provider of AV system design, control system programming and module development, has introduced Envisage, a new software system that greatly simplifies the programming process of Crestron Prodigy systems for custom integrators.
PanTech Design’s Envisage is a software platform programmed for the specific products in Crestron’s Prodigy product line, that allows integrators to easily modify system and product settings for the unique needs of the end-user. Integrators, both existing and those new to Prodigy systems, can now easily adjust settings and features, including menu layouts, global lighting settings, audio levels with integration to Prodigy tools, audio/video presets, searchable iPod and satellite radio metadata, and more.
“We developed Envisage to provide custom integrators -- including those new to Crestron products -- with a simplified way to configure Crestron Prodigy systems,” said Troy Morgan, president of PanTech Design. “Envisage, combined with our programming services, eliminates the common frustrations that many integrators may encounter when installing a Prodigy system which can lead to loss of profit.”
Once the integrator has received his or her Envisage software package -- custom-programmed by PanTech Design for each unique system -- they have the ability to easily customize a vast array of system settings including main menu layouts, input timing, source, room, lighting and thermostat labels, and more. Providing even further customization flexibility, the programmed system allows the end-user to easily adjust numerous variables including lighting scenes, audio scenes, radio presets, daily schedules for Crestron TSTAT products and more.
To gain access to Envisage, integrators launch PanTech Design’s project scope and pricing application through an easy-to-use web interface, the integrator begins by specifying the numbers of products in an installation, including keypads, lighting dimmers and switches, tuners, thermostat controls, amplifiers and more. Integrators can even indicate whether or not a system has advanced features such as iPhone connectivity. Integrators will also specify how many IR devices will be included in the system and can include the make and model of those products in the scope. The scope of work created by the online tool is also useful in setting proper expectations with the end user as well.
The system quickly evaluates the overall project scope, taking into account the type and number of products, and generates an automatic and comprehensive needs analysis for programming. Integrators are also provided with a fixed price quote for PanTech Design’s programming services, complete with AutoCAD drawings and remote email support.
The integrator turns the project over to PanTech Design who follows its proven, standards-based methodology to ensure that each system is programmed the exact same way, using the same labeling, layout, resources, etc. PanTech design then sends the integrator their customized Envisage software package, loaded with the pre-programmed content for their specified system. The integrator can utilize the software to completely and easily customize the system based on their clients’ specific requests.
