Nuage Nine, Control4 Expand Remote Systems Management Capablities
Nuage Nine solution has the ability to remotely monitor, manage and send alerts on Control4 ZigBee- and IP-based devices.
Control4 and Nuage Nine are announcing at CEDIA Expo 2011 that the full range of Control4 products can be remotely monitored and managed by Nuage Nine’s remote managed services solution. According to the companies, the combination will allow integrators to increase revenue and decrease costs through full remote service capabilities.
The Nuage Nine solution can now remotely monitor and manage, as well as send alerts, on all Control4 application processes in addition to all ZigBee- and IP-based devices. This extends the capabilities of the Control4 system and increases an integrator's ability to remotely diagnose and resolve customer issues as well as be alerted on all system status. The Nuage Nine solution uses industry standards to remotely monitor devices and software. Additionally, Nuage Nine designed a set of software modules to interoperate with the Control4 products.
Jim Arnold, senior vice president of sales for Control4, says Control4 seeks out companies that are developing innovate solutions and Nuage Nine meets that criteria.
Both companies offer standards-based solutions for multiple home systems including home entertainment, lighting, and energy management. Control4’s existing management and configuration features are extended through Nuage Nine’s remote configuration management, error discovery, prediction and correction capabilities.
Vaughn Petraglia, president and CEO of Nuage Nine, says, “The combination of our solutions allows integrators to offer the broadest set of remote monitoring, configuration, and management capabilities to their customers.”
