Meridian Gets Royal Visit from Duke of York
Prince Andrew, Duke of York demos Meridian's 10-megapixel Reference 810 Projector.
Prince Andrew, Duke of York visits the headquarters of Meridian Audio, a British-based manufacturer of high-performance audio and video entertainment systems.
Prince Andrew, Duke of York recently toured Meridian's Cambridgeshire headquarters.
During the tour, Prince Andrew learned about Meridian's organizational procedures and technological philosophies.
Meridian founders Bob Stuart and Allen Boothroyd also conducted product demos highlighted by a digital home theater system featuring Meridian's 10-megapixel Reference 810 Projector.
"We feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity to meet with the Duke of York during his busy schedule, and to be able to share both our success story and passion for cutting edge technology," Stuart says. "It is always unique to have your achievements recognized by a member of the royal family."
Meridian is one of Cambridgeshire's most successful exporting companies, saying it has increased export sales with other European nations, as well as countries in the Middle East and Asia since 2009 when the global economy was struggling.
