Integrator Writes Book on Past 5 Years

image
If the past five years has been crazy for your integration business, Scott Bourquin of Rustic Creek LLC can relate.

So much so that he wrote a book about it.

The book is called "So Now What" and is available on BuyBooksontheWeb.com for $16.95. His story is likely your story.

Like many integrators, Bourquin has been grappling with the ups and downs of the market and dealing with builders, electricians, homeowners, architects, etc. He says he has been a self-described "nutcase for the last year" due to all the turmoil related to trying to add a retail business as an add-on to his custom and consulting business. He says he has "gone sideways" for the past five or six years.

He tells stories of electricians catching houses on fire, working with unprofitable builders, managing cash flow and more.

The Abstract of the book says:

Have you ever looked around you and felt stuck? Are you trapped by your circumstances and can't seem to get anywhere? Are people getting promoted all around you? Why is it? What do they have that you don't? What is it that they are doing that you are not? How do people who are broke at 30 become millionaires at 40 and retire rich at 50? This book is here to help you re-write your life story into something better. So Now What are you going to do with your life?

It might be worth a Christmas gift for yourself.

Thank you for the great review and posting Jason.

For the integrators that new me, I was in the wrong business, and I am glad to be back to doing what I should have been doing all along.

I hope the book So, Now What? can help a few integrators get better focused on their niche and really drill in.  There is still a lot of money out there to be earned and as Jeff Hoover once advised me “It is better to have one location and do what you do very well than to have two locations and just be average.”

Don’t be average doing everything, be great doing YOUR thing. Just like Jason does at CEPro.  wink
