CEA, CEDIA Release Green Home Certification Guide
Seventeen state and national programs for green home certifications.
Interested in building a certified green home – or working on one?
The CEA and CEDIA have released the Home Technology Green Certification Guide, detailing 17 green home certification programs, both at the national and state levels.
The well-known LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), Energy Star, and NAHB’s (National Association of Homebuilders) Green Building Program are detailed, as well as programs from North Carolina, Minnesota, Colorado, Hawaii, Washington, California and Florida, among others. Several multistate programs are listed as well.
If you’re building green or preparing to work on a green home project, this is a great place to start. Getting a green home certified by one of these organizations can help promote the home and your organization as a capable green contractor.
