Canton Adds 3 Loudspeakers to Flagship Reference Line
Adds Reference 5.2 DC and Reference 7.2 DC floorstanding models, as well as the Reference 9.2 DC monitor speaker.

Canton has added three loudspeakers to its flagship Reference line — the Reference 5.2 DC, Reference 7.2 DC, and Reference 9.2 DC.
The Canton Reference 5.2 and Reference 7.2 are floorstanding models with three-way bass reflex systems. Each has a two-chamber monocoque enclosure with curved side panels that are pressure-laminated.
The Reference 5.2 features two 7.5-inch (200 mm) woofers, a 7-inch midrange, and a 1-inch ceramic dome tweeter. The Reference 7.2 uses dual 7-inch woofers with the same midrange/high frequency driver complement.
The Reference 9.2, a compact monitor speaker, is the smallest speaker in the series. It has a two-way bass reflex design with a 7-inch woofer and a 1-inch ceramic dome tweeter.
Canton, which recently redesigned its GLE speaker line, says the "most significant engineering advancement" in the new Reference speakers is the use of its new aluminum oxide ceramic dome tweeter. It replaced the aluminum-manganese dome and allows for a smaller dome radius and significant improvements in power handling and distortion, according to Canton.
Each speaker also features:
MSRP (per pair)
Reference 5.2 — $10,000
Reference 7.2 — $7,000
Reference 9.2 — $4,000
