Pure Resonance Audio has announced its new S6 Outdoor Speaker, which it says is the big brother to its S5 loudspeaker product.
The company states that its new surface-mount, outdoor loudspeaker is an all-weather solution that can be used to playback foreground and background music; it can be used for paging applications, and general-purpose audio in a range of environments. Pure Resonance Audio points out the S6 Outdoor Speaker is a 70-volt product that meets the IP65 water-resistance rating to ensure protection against direct contact with water, dust and dirt.
Internally, the outdoor surface-mount speaker features a 6.5-inch polypropylene midrange driver and a 1-inch silk-membrane tweeter. Pure Resonance Audio specifies the S6 Outdoor Speaker to be capable of handling 60 watts of continuous power, and it emphasizes the 92dB sensitive speaker is capable of producing a frequency response of 80Hz to 16kHz.
According to Pure Resonance Audio, its new 70-volt outdoor loudspeaker also comes with an 180-degree installation bracket that facilitates the ability to install the S6 Outdoor Speaker in locations such as under awnings, under eaves, over hangs at press boxes and other similar areas. Some of the business environments the speaker can support includes bars, restaurants, hospitality venues, retail stores, fitness centers, parks and schools.
