Harman, AMX Build Super-Cool Modern Playhouse Packed with JBL for Charity
Benefiting Dallas CASA, which helps abused and neglected children find permanent homes, Harman and Team AMX build amazing, ultra-modern, game-filled, JBL-packed playhouse for auction.
Harman and its audio, video and home-automation subsidiaries are building one of the coolest playhouses on the planet, packed with top-notch JBL audio gear, along with Nerf games, giant Jenga blocks, and a huge set of Yardzee lawn dice.
No, the playhouse isn't for break time at the Dallas-based controls company AMX. It's all in the name of charity. Harman will join other local organizations at the 22nd annual Parade of Playhouses, supporting the Dallas chapter of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), an organization that helps abused and neglected children find safe, permanent homes.
Long-time AMX marketing executive Jeff Kindig has supported the organization for years. The 2017 "Parade" marks Harman's sixth year of sponsorship, and the newly constructed "Harman Playhouse Game Changer" might be its coolest digs yet.
It's kind of a contemporary outdoor sculpture, but it's packed with all kinds of games, as well as marine-grade speakers and amp.
The Playhouses will be on display in Dallas's NorthPark Center from July 7-23.
Raffle tickets are $5 each, or 5 for $20 and are available at NorthPark Center or online at dallascasa.org. If you don't feel like schlepping the prize home with you, of course you are welcome to donate it to a deserving family in the Dallas area.
Out-of-towners who wish to support the Harman team and abused children can vote for the Harman house by texting DALLASCASA to 41444. Each vote costs $5 and the most favorite playhouse will be announced on Facebook and the Dallas CASA website. (These votes are not entered into the raffle.)
