Hunter S. Thompson to Integrator: “F#&* You”
The voicemail was given to Jeremy Burkhardt of SpeakerCraft by Thompson's electronics dealer.
Sounding as though he was under the influence, Thompson complains that his wiring has been messed up and his new system doesn’t work. And on and on.
Hopefully this doesn’t sound familiar to any of you.
Editor's Note: The voicemail is filled with expletives. It is certainly more reflective of Thompson's character than it is of his integrator or any of the equipment.

“If your set up is still here tomorrow, I’ll destroy it!” I would destroy anything JVC also. (obviously the separate entity JVC Pro has some excellent projectors.)
No one better than Hunter Thompson. I remember one night in Aspen he rode his horse into the Jerome Hotel.
Guy was nuts. Killed himself a few years ago… I wonder if it was over the A/V wiring?
“Hopefully this doesn’t sound familiar to any of you.” What? I got a call like that this past Friday night! Though mine was just as un-serious as HST’s. Merely frustration. I take it in stride and generally enjoy the banter from customers like that. Well, not exactly like that, hahaha. He really was a master. “I write BOOKS!”
