The value-minded home audio company OSD Audio has introduced its OSD Black small-aperture R43 and R43SQ In-Ceiling Round and Square loudspeakers.
The Calif.-based manufacturer explains that with the popularity of in-ceiling LED lights, 6-inch products have become some of the lighting category’s most sought-after products. Responding to this trend, OSD Audio developed its Nero R43 and R43SQ in-ceiling loudspeakers to match the aesthetic of these modern lighting products.
OSD Audio points out that its new loudspeaker products’ recessed design allows professional integrators the ability to install whole-house audio and home theater systems in room environments that contain lighting designs without the speakers looking out of place.
According to the company, the R43 and R43SQ in-ceiling loudspeakers utilize two-way designs that include 4-inch Polypropylene woofers and 1/2-inch PEI dome tweeters. These speakers, through their drivers and two-way designs are engineered to deliver high levels of sound quality from their respective small footprints.
OSD Audio states the R43 and R43SQ small-aperture, in-ceiling loudspeakers are capable of delivering SPL (sound pressure levels) over 100dB, and the speakers are capable of frequency response levels down to 70Hz +/-10dB.
The company adds the OSD Black architectural speakers are rated at an 8-ohm impedance, and a sensitivity rating of 90dB.
