SurgeX will use CEDIA Expo 2026 to highlight updates spanning remote power management, backup power and its dealer experience, led by a refreshed SurgeX CONNECT cloud platform and the PowerVar FortaGrid three-phase rackmount UPS.

The company, part of AMETEK Power Quality Solutions, will exhibit in Booth #1308. The additions build on SurgeX’s power protection and management portfolio while giving integrators more tools to monitor power conditions and manage installed systems remotely.

SurgeX CONNECT Adds Site and Map Views

The refreshed SurgeX CONNECT platform organizes supported devices around the locations and projects integrators manage.

A new Site View provides information on devices within an individual installation, including device health, connectivity and available power metrics. Map View expands that visibility across multiple locations, providing geographic context that can help dealers determine whether an issue is isolated to one property or potentially affecting a broader area.

A Device View adds search, sorting and filtering capabilities, while alerts, notifications, remote device control and real-time power analytics give integrators additional tools for managing systems without immediately dispatching a technician.

SurgeX has also added customizable user groups that allow administrators to assign permissions and equipment access across teams, customers and projects. The platform supports SQUID, UPS Standalone and PROTECT + CONNECT products and maintains integrations with major control platforms.

The remote monitoring capabilities could also support integrators looking to provide more proactive service or incorporate power monitoring into recurring service offerings.

“Our focus is making power easier for integrators to manage before, during and long after an installation,” says Chad Russell, director of sales, residential – North America, SurgeX. “Whether that means seeing the health of an entire project through SurgeX CONNECT, scaling backup power for a more demanding installation or simply getting an accurate price and tracking an order more easily, these improvements are all designed around helping our partners work more efficiently and provide better service to their customers.”

PowerVar FortaGrid Brings Three-Phase Backup to the Rack

SurgeX will also showcase PowerVar FortaGrid, a three-phase rackmount UPS designed for edge computing, micro data centers and distributed IT environments.

FortaGrid supports configurations from 5 kVA to 40 kVA and is available in 208/220V and 380/400/415V versions. Its 19-inch rack-integrated design brings three-phase backup power directly into rack environments, while online double-conversion technology and voltage regulation are designed to protect sensitive equipment from power disturbances.

For integrators, the platform expands the higher-power applications that can be supported as residential and light-commercial racks incorporate more computing, networking and connected equipment.

FortaGrid is currently available for pre-order, with shipments expected to begin in Q4 2026. SurgeX says the system carries a four-year warranty.

SurgeX Updates Dealer Tools

SurgeX is also making changes to its dealer experience, including a new online ordering portal that provides pricing information, order submission and real-time order and tracking updates. The company says the portal was developed in response to customer requests.

At CEDIA Expo, SurgeX will debut a redesigned booth built around its “Protect, Backup and Justify” approach to power management. Two dedicated SurgeX CONNECT demonstration stations will give attendees an opportunity to explore the platform’s site, map and device views.

SurgeX will exhibit at CEDIA Expo 2026 in Booth #1308.
