URC has named Staub Electronics the exclusive Canadian distributor of its Total Control line of products. A week after introducing the Offsite Programming tool for its MRX-10 Advanced Network Controller, URC is updating its Total Control Mobile App, which can be downloaded free from iTunes. The new Remote Access feature allows clients to control their system from any location with an Internet connection via an iPad, iPhone, or iPod. URC has released its Offsite Programming feature for its Total Control systems, allowing installers to remotely access clients’ MRX-10 Advanced Network Controller to program or reprogram, change cable channel lineups, reset Favorites or make any other adjustment. Access can be made remotely from the installer’s shop, home or anywhere else that they can connect to the Internet. URC has added a new Dealer Portfolio marketing feature for its website Dealer Locator that allows URC Master Dealers to not only provide their location and contact information, but also show visiting consumers their finest installs, complete with short captions, photo galleries, customer testimonials and more. One of the key execs behind the Philips Pronto universal remote, Andre Lalande, has joined URC as director of sales for the Western U.S. and Canada.
