Cary Audio has announced a new Direct Sales Program for consumers who are located more than 100 miles away from the nearest authorized dealer. Those consumers will now be able to purchase amplifiers, preamps and processors directly from the Apex, N.C.-based manufacturer. Cary Audio says the Direct Sales Program is a result of receiving phone calls from potential customers who can't find dealers within close proximity. "While we continue to support our independent authorized dealers, we realize that there needs to be a way for consumers in all parts of…

Cary Audio Cinema 12 surround sound processor
Robert Archer | 04/29 04:48 AM,
If someone were to ask three different people to define home theater odds are the responses back would provide three entirely different answers. These answers would like likely include references to video, surround sound, streaming media and traditional two-channel audio content. Cary Audio's newly released Cinema 12 home theater processor is a component that installers can use to cover the entire home media spectrum, including 3D. The Cinema 12 is a replacement for the company's Cinema 11a pre/pro and the new unit incorporates features such as four HDMI 1.4a inputs…

In addition, the company is a U.S. manufacturer with a vision of where it wants to be and it prices its products to compete at levels that are approachable to a wide array of consumers. Many audiophiles say one of the electronic industry's most glaring unfilled promises is that of digital audio superiority. Back in the early 1980s when the CD was first introduced, it was promoted as a format that would provide listeners with a less noisy, more dynamic and more inclusive sound experience. Nearly 30 years later, many old-school audiophiles, and some Generation X and Y consumers, are turning to technologies that were abandoned by the masses, hoping to restore the visceral impact that's allegedly eluded engineers designing digital components. Why the interest…
