ZeeVee Ships $2500 ZvPro 250 Media Streamer
Offers VGA, Component inputs to stream HD video to unlimited HDTVs.
ZeeVee, manufacturer of the ZvBox, is shipping the ZvPro 250 streamer that distributes HD video via existing coax wiring.
The ZvPro 250 comes with VGA and Component video inputs and supports resolutions up to 1080i. It has SPDIF Digital Audio and Analog Audio inputs and offers HD MPEG2 encoding.
The rackmountable unit features RS-232, IR, USB or front panel inputs. The company says it's compatible with any HD video source and delivers up to 135 HD channels when multiple boxes are combined.
And clients don't need to add anything to each TV in order for the ZvPro 250 to work. The QAM tuner in the HDTV will tune the Zv channels just fine. ZeeVee also says no matrix switcher or proprietary wiring is needed to switch between multiple ZvPro 250s.
ZeeVee has partnered with JB&A Distribution and Toner Cable Equipment to serve the commercial market.
