Wolf Cinema SDC-8, SDC-12 3D Projectors Support 2D/3D Content
The Graywolf line, which will be on hand at CES 2013, includes two models. At $8,000 (MSRP), the SDC-8 has a three-chip D-ILA (Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier) light engine for a full 1080p image. The SDC-12 adds 4K (3840-by-2160 resolution) into the mix for $12,000.
Designed for screens up to 11-feet wide, each projector is compatible with 2D and 3D content.
That D-ILA technology promises film-like images from standard and high-def sources. Other features include extended-throw Wolf Cinema VariScope primary optics and the option to flip between aspect ratios at the touch of a button. Wolf Cinema 3D shutter glasses and 3D signal emitters, as well as two VariScope FX fixed cinema anamorphic lens assemblies are also available.
Promising between 3,000 and 4,000 hours of enjoyment on the user-replaceable 230-watt NSH lamp, each projector also comes in an elegant glossy gray cabinet and provides for dedicated infrared (IR), LAN and RS-232 control. Each of the new models also has two HDMI 1.4 inputs, one set of component inputs, a dedicated PC input, and more.
If you’re in need of a little help with mounting, Wolf Cinema has the WC-PM-M projector ceiling mount kit available as a separate purchase.
Wolf Cinema plans to make these projectors available through select AV specialists starting this month.
